Who doesn’t enjoy a baseball game? It is America’s Favorite Pastime after all.
The crack of the bat… The thump of a pitch into the catcher’s mitt… The smell of fresh cut grass… Hot dogs and cold drinks… Whether it’s major league, little league, or something in-between, catching a ball game in the summer is the perfect evening for the whole family.
The Outer Banks Daredevils is a summer league baseball team made up of college students mostly from the Mid-Atlantic States. A group of local businessmen, led by Donnie Just, owner of Tranquil House & 1587 in downtown Manteo, are working hard to continue the tradition of great collegiate summer baseball here in the Outer Banks. Voted “Best of the Beach Family Attraction 2013”, the Daredevils continue to be a “fan favorite” among locals and visitors alike.
OPENING NIGHT IS JUNE 1st and games are played Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays through August 6th. On game nights, the gates will open at 6:00 pm, and the first pitch is at 7:05 pm. For more information visit the team website. Follow them on Facebook too.
